Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LocaleIQ (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LocaleIQ provides independent neighborhood intelligence reports for home buyers. Our service includes neighborhood scoring across multiple categories, persona-based analysis, area comparisons, and downloadable PDF reports.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and make purchases.
  • One account per person. Shared accounts are not permitted.

4. Purchases and Payments

  • Individual neighborhood reports are sold as one-time purchases. Once purchased, you have permanent access to that report.
  • All payments are processed securely through Dodo Payments. LocaleIQ does not store your payment card information.
  • Prices are displayed in USD and include all applicable taxes.
  • Subscription plans, where available, are billed monthly or annually as specified at the time of purchase.

5. Refund Policy

6. Use of Reports

  • Reports are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use.
  • You may share a report with immediate family members involved in the same home-buying decision.
  • You may not resell, redistribute, or publish reports commercially without written permission.
  • You may not scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the Service.

7. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

LocaleIQ scores and insights are generated from analysis of publicly available data and should be used as one input in your decision-making process. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any score or insight.

  • Scores reflect relative performance and are not absolute guarantees of quality.
  • Neighborhood conditions can change rapidly and may not be immediately reflected in our scores.
  • LocaleIQ is not a substitute for professional advice from real estate agents, lawyers, or financial advisors.
  • We are not responsible for any decisions made based solely on our reports.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on LocaleIQ — including scoring methodology, category definitions, UI design, and report formats — is the intellectual property of LocaleIQ. Our scoring methodology and algorithms are proprietary.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer our scoring algorithms.
  • Create automated accounts or use bots to access the Service.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocaleIQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@localeiq.io. Purchased reports remain accessible even after account termination, subject to reactivation.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in California.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
