About LocaleIQ
Independent neighborhood intelligence for the biggest decision of your life.
The Problem We Solve
Buying a home is the single largest financial decision most people make. Yet the neighborhood — the one thing you can't change after purchase — is evaluated through broker recommendations, weekend visits, and word of mouth. None of these give you the full picture.
Brokers are incentivized to close deals, not to tell you the commute will be miserable or the water supply is unreliable. Weekend visits show you one snapshot, not the daily reality. Online forums are noisy, contradictory, and anecdotal.
We built LocaleIQ to fix this.
What We Do
Data-Driven Scoring
We analyze every neighborhood across 13 categories — from safety and schools to commute and future growth — using public data, government records, and community feedback.
Zero Bias
Our scores are never influenced by developers, brokers, or advertisers. We don't list properties and we don't take commissions. Our only incentive is accuracy.
Persona-Based Insights
A neighborhood that's perfect for a young professional might be wrong for a family with school-age children. Our persona scoring shows you how an area fits your specific situation.
Actionable Reports
Every report includes scores, trends, confidence levels, red flags, and a daily life narrative. Download the PDF, share it with your family, and decide with confidence.
Our Approach
We believe neighborhood data should be transparent, current, and unbiased. Every score on LocaleIQ comes with a confidence level (how much data supports it) and a trend indicator (is it getting better or worse). We don't hide behind black-box algorithms — our methodology page explains exactly how scores are calculated.
We started with California because it's one of the most complex real estate markets, with hundreds of neighborhoods where data-driven decisions matter most. We're expanding to more states soon.
